Critics of China business would love to travel in Gansu’s countryside, though their glee may be short-lived! Though this region has no dearth of rapidly growing urban centers, the agrarian landscape is not unlike that of its somnolent neighbor, Mongolia. However, literally and figuratively below the surface of Gansu lies untold wealth, and it is firmly poised to become the mineral supplier of choice for the whole world.

A Special Treasure from Gansu for all China Business
Though Gansu has a wide base of metals under its surface, it is nickel which is of greatest interest for both domestic and international prospectors. There is a global effort in progress to increase nickel production. This is because the metal has such varied applications in diverse sections of every economy.
It is common knowledge that every Olympics means big business, but exactly how much is that? A glance at the web site for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing will show what the event means for China business. No wonder the savvy Tony Blair dashed half way across the globe to snatch the 2012 games from Paris! Entire swathes of industry, which have rather stagnant futures, get new leases of life at the privileged sites of future Olympics.

Is China Business Related to the Olympics Durable?
There are a number of reasons to set the Beijing Olympics apart. Its system of governance is very different from that of the free nations of the first world. The indigenous culture, at the same time, is rich, ancient, and distinctive. Cultural celebrations may be part of each Olympics, but they have special significance in the case of Beijing.
The combination of a large population with diverse eco-systems makes places such as Anhui especially attractive for all phases of China business related to health care. More than a third of all Chinese uses traditional herbal medicine to manage their health issues (Lin, 2001). Traditional Chinese medicine can be modernized and upgraded by using professional analytical and quality assurance techniques. Increasing numbers of people all over the world, including those in highly industrialized countries, turn to herbal products nowadays, and their standardization can draw in even higher numbers of users. Many doctors who have traditionally prescribed only western drugs could also switch to Chinese herbs if their quality attributes could be more assured.

Complementary and Alternate China Business
Well over half of all US citizens use one or the other form of Complementary and Alternative Medicines (The Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in the United States, 2007). Women, people who are highly educated, those who have experienced the travails of hospitalization, and substance abusers, use such approaches even more often than others. It is inevitable that members of the European Union will follow suit even if they are not aficionados of herbal drugs already! Overall, the stage is set for a huge global expansion in the demand for Complementary and Alternative Medicines: that is certainly good news for health care forms of China business! An especially heartening aspect of this trend is that you do not have to own a large pharmaceutical corporation to start a new China business around herbal medicine: the sector is open for small and medium players, and for companies which wish to forward integrate as well.
